I have a sweet tooth. So when I see gift ideas that are filled with glorious sweetness, it catches my attention. Holidays aren’t complete unless you top it off with a little somethin’ somethin’. Give your clients a little sweetness this holiday and see how far it gets you. Here are some ideas to get you started.
When Oprah placed these caramels on her “Favorite Things” list this year, Annie B’s staffed braced themselves for an adventure. Everyone likes a great caramel, especially ones that come in a cute little box.
Funky Chunky Candy Cane Popcorn
Last year I tried peppermint laced popcorn for the first time, and I have never looked back. Once you try it you are hooked! So, when I saw this candy cane Funky Chunky popcorn, I just had to try. This is phenomenal. The popcorn is buttery, and it has a mixture of macadamia nuts, white peppermint chocolate drizzle, and crushed peppermint. Yes, I’m in heaven!
White Peppermint Bark
An oldie but a goodie. White Peppermint Bark is so good and so easy. You can make some of this right in your home while you are watching “Elf“, which is one of my holiday favorites. For those of you that like to get crafty, here is the recipe. Everyone loves a homemade gift at times, it shows character, and extra thoughtfulness. It also gives your client a little snapshot of who you are outside of planning their event.
White Peppermint Bark Recipe
2 pounds of white chocolate (or dark if it is your preference)
1 cup of crushed candy canes
Peppermint flavorings (optional)
Directions: Place candy canes in a plastic Ziploc bag and hammer into 1/4 pieces or preferred size. Melt chocolate on low on the stove-top, or in double boiler, stirring often. Once slightly melted, mix in peppermint and flavorings as desired. Pour mixture onto a wax-paper lined cookie sheet, and sprinkle additional peppermint pieces on if desired. Place in refrigerator for 45 minutes or until firm. Once complete, break into pieces and serve.
Did you know that sugar can be used as scrub? Actually sugar scrubs are a great way to add moisture to skin. What a better time to give this away as a gift during the cold winter season. This one is also pretty easy to make, or if you want, you can always purchase it as well. What you’ll need is 2 cups of white granulated sugar, 1/3 cup of coconut or almond oil, and a few drops of Peppermint Essential Oil.
Start with the sugar, and pour in the oil of your preference. Make sure that you don’t have too much of an oily consistency, stop when you are at the consistency you desire. Add about 10-15 drops of peppermint oil, and you are done. If you want to get really creative, you can add color to the containers (red for the holiday)!
White Hot Chocolate Lovers
