Be a Better Leader – Reflections on Leadership

by Apr 6, 2017

This 10 part series in being a better leader has been a great experience for me to present to you.  By writing these posts, I also have made side notes and sticky note reminders of areas in which I also would like to do better. As I reflect what I learned in this series, I personally would love to be able to take bigger risks that align with my visions. And I also want to amp up how intentional I am about every single day and the people I interact with.

The purpose of this series was to bring awareness to the fact that being a leader shouldn’t be taken lightly. If you have been placed in a role of leadership in your organization, or if you always find yourself in certain spheres of influence, knowing key aspects of leaders is important. You have to be able to have BIG visions, take the risks you need, and harness the power of creation to bring life to your vision.

After going through this series, I hope that you explore what your true purpose is with what you do. Why do you do what you do? I’m hoping that after going through series, you are able to tap in into what your purpose is. And when you find out what your purpose is, then find ways to live it out every day.

As you reflect on this series, I want to leave you with one of my personal favorite speakers on leadership, Simon Sinek. In this clip, he talks about how great leaders inspire action. In event planning, we know what we do, and some of us possibly know very well how to do it. However, Simon talks about getting to the root of why we do what we do, because when we do, we can inspire others. Enjoy and thank you for going on this journey with me on leadership.
